Eckhardt Steel & Alloys

Started working at Pathe Bapurao Marg 12 a long time ago. The building is older, but it works for what we do with Eckhardt Steel & Alloys. Most mornings, the street is already loud by the time we open up the shop. We handle a lot of different steel and alloys here. It's dusty work, and your hands get dirty pretty fast when you're moving heavy metal around all day. People usually just drop by when they need something specific for a project they’re working on nearby. We don't have a fancy front office or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we keep the inventory and get the orders ready. Sometimes the traffic on the road makes it hard for the delivery trucks to get in or out, but we manage somehow. The neighbors know us, and we know them. It's just a regular local business life. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure the counts are right. There’s always someone asking for a specific grade of alloy that we have to go dig out from the back. It keeps us on our feet. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just trying to get the day's work finished so we can head home. It gets hot in the summer with all that metal sitting around, but that is just how it goes in this line of work.
