Architect Mustansir

You can find us on the ground floor of Qumar Castle in Mazgaon. It’s an old building with a lot of character, which feels right for an architect’s office. Mustansir has been working from this spot for a while, and the place is pretty much filled with paper and models. We don’t have a fancy receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. The ground floor location is handy because we’re always running out to visit sites or meet with builders, so we don’t have to deal with stairs. Architecture is a messy business. There’s always something that goes wrong on a site, or a drawing that needs to be changed at the last minute because someone changed their mind. We just deal with it as it happens. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the walls are straight and the roof doesn't leak. Mazgaon is a good area with a lot of history, and we like being part of the community here. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty from all the old files, but it’s a comfortable place to work. We spend a lot of time staring at screens and paper, trying to make things fit together. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just focused on the next project and getting the details right for the people who hire us.
