You can find us at Shop No 7 and 8 in Mahavir Mahal, Plot 130, right here in Ghatkopar East. Apna Bazar Co Op Departmental Store has been part of this Mumbai neighborhood for a long time. It’s a cooperative setup, so it feels a bit different than the big malls. We have two shops joined together to fit all the groceries and household supplies. Mumbai life is fast, and Ghatkopar is no different. We get folks coming in for their monthly rations and small daily bits too. The aisles are a bit narrow because we try to fit a lot of stock in. Sometimes the lighting is a bit dim in the back, but people know where everything is kept. We don't spend money on big posters or radio ads. Most of our customers have been coming here for years, and now their kids come too. It’s a practical place. We focus on having the basics like pulses, oils, and cleaning stuff. Being in Mahavir Mahal makes it easy for the locals to walk over. There’s always a bit of chatter at the counter while we weigh things out and pack them up. It’s not fancy, but it works for everyone involved. We just keep the doors open and the shelves stocked as much as possible. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, but that's just the daily routine for us here in the city.
