My office is at 422 Chembur East, right on 18th Main. It’s a nice spot because we are directly opposite the Golf Ground, so at least there’s some green to look at when you step outside the door. I’m Aparna Pravin Bhairat, and I run things from here. It’s a modest space, nothing too flashy or impressive. I’ve got my books, my computer, and a small area where I can sit down with anyone who comes by to talk. Chembur East is a pretty good neighborhood, and I’ve lived and worked around here for quite some time now. The office is usually quiet, except for the sound of traffic from the main road. I don't really have a big marketing plan or anything like that. People just know where I am and what I do through word of mouth. Sometimes the place gets a bit cluttered with papers and files, especially during the busier months of the year. I try to stay organized, but it’s just me handling most of it, so things can get a bit messy. I prefer it this way though, as it feels more personal than a big company. I don’t like the idea of a cold, empty office. Here, it feels lived-in and real. Most of my day is spent on the phone or responding to messages. It’s a steady pace, and I enjoy being my own boss in a place I know so well. It works for me.
