Ankita Catering Services

We run Ankita Catering Services out of Popular Enclave Society 2 in Chembur. It’s basically where all the cooking and planning happens every day. We started this because we know our way around a kitchen and people kept asking for help with food for their small get-togethers. Chembur is a good place to be based, though the traffic near Popular Enclave can be a bit of a headache during lunch hours. We spend most of our mornings prepping ingredients and making sure the stoves are ready to go. It’s a lot of hard work and being on your feet for hours, but that’s just how catering is. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us in the society space getting the orders ready. We focus on making sure the food is hot when it gets to where it needs to be. Sometimes we are juggling three or four different things at once, but we manage to get it done. We’ve been doing this for a while now and most of our neighbors know the smell of our cooking by now. It’s a simple business, really. We just make the food, pack it up, and send it out. We don't use any fancy tricks, just fresh ingredients and a lot of patience. Sometimes it’s tiring, but seeing people enjoy the meal makes it worth the effort at the end.
