Anil Rewinding Sales & Service

We've been at Chembur Naka for a long time now. The shop is right on the ground floor on R C Marg. Most people know us because we are directly opposite the old State Bank of Patiala building. It gets pretty busy around here with the traffic and people coming in with burnt-out motors. We spend most of our days surrounded by copper wire and tools. Usually, the floor is a bit messy with parts, but that is how we work. Someone drops off a fan or a pump that stopped working, and we take it apart to see what went wrong. It is dusty work. Sometimes the smell of burnt insulation stays in the air all afternoon. We don’t have fancy chairs or a waiting lounge. People just stand by the counter or wait outside for a bit. My hands are usually stained with grease or copper dust by lunchtime. We take the orders as they come. If a motor needs rewinding, it takes as long as it takes. We try to get things done so people can get back to their jobs. Chembur is a loud place, but we are used to the noise of the street and the humming of the testing bench. It’s just a small place filled with machines and wires. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same.
