Paras Exports

We are based out of JB Nagar in Andheri East. It is a very crowded and busy part of Mumbai to work in every day. Our main business is exports, so we spend a lot of time on the computer or talking on the phone to people in different places. The office is pretty simple, with just some desks, old chairs, and piles of folders containing shipping manifests and customs papers. Andheri East is always moving, and being right in the middle of it means there is never any silence. We often go down to the local stalls for a quick lunch or a cup of tea to get a break from the office. We have to be very careful with the lists of items we are sending out to make sure everything matches up. The Metro station is quite close, which is helpful for getting to work, but the roads around JB Nagar are usually blocked with traffic. We do not have a big corporate entrance or anything like that. You just walk up the stairs and you will find us working away. It gets quite loud with the trucks and cars outside, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We mainly focus on getting the crates loaded correctly and making sure the paperwork is signed and ready for the transport companies. It is just the daily rhythm of the export trade.
