You can find us over at Dattapada Road. We are in the Mangal Murti Chawl, which is just across from the Ravi Kiran Building. It is a small space, mostly filled up with rolls of wire, switches, and toolboxes. If you walk in, you might have to step over a ladder or some conduit pipes. Being an electrical contractor means we are often out at different sites, but the shop is where everything starts. We handle a lot of small repairs and also bigger wiring jobs when someone is renovating. The walls are lined with wooden shelves that have seen better days. It isn’t a shiny showroom. We keep the basic stuff people need for their homes or shops. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook when there is a power issue in the neighborhood. Other days, it’s quiet enough to sit and organize the screwdrivers. Working in a chawl means everyone knows everyone. We get neighbors stopping by just to chat or ask a quick question about a fuse. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the door wide open. We do not have any big signs or advertisements. Most of our work comes from people just knowing where we are on the road. It’s a simple setup, just honest work with wires and pliers every day.
