Ammu Industries

We’ve been based out of A/6 in the Sussex Industrial Estate for quite a long time now. If you are coming from the Byculla East side, you have to navigate the Dadoji Konddev X Road, which is almost always clogged with trucks and tempos. It’s a busy part of town. There is a lot of noise that comes in through the windows every single day. The estate itself has that old industrial feel to it, with grey walls and heavy gates that have seen better days. Inside our space, things aren't exactly what you’d call tidy. There are crates stacked in the corners and some old desks that we’ve had since we first moved in here. The name Ammu Industries is painted on the front, but the letters are starting to fade a bit from the sun. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area for visitors. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk right into the middle of whatever we are doing. The air is often thick with the smell of the city and whatever work is happening next door. We keep a few fans going to move the air around, but it still gets pretty stuffy when the afternoon sun hits. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor or making things look polished. It’s just a place where we show up, do what needs to be done, and then head home when the sun goes down. It’s nothing special, just our daily reality.
