Amir Furniture

We’ve been at Amir Furniture for a while now. It’s over at S-9 Shivam in the Kapol Housing Society, specifically on South North Rd.No.11. Mostly we just deal with wood and fabrics all day. People come by when they need a chair fixed or a new cupboard. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything. Just a workshop where things get built. Sometimes it gets loud with the saws. We keep things simple. If you walk down Rd.No.11, you'll see us. The shop isn't massive but it fits what we need. We’ve got stuff piled up sometimes. Most days it's just about getting the measurements right and making sure the legs on a table don't wobble. It’s hard work, honestly. My hands are usually dusty. We’ve seen the neighborhood change around Kapol Housing Society over the years. Some neighbors stop by just to chat while we’re working on a frame. We try to stay busy. There's always a half-finished sofa or a pile of timber in the corner. That’s just how it is here. Nothing too complicated. We just like making things that people can actually use in their houses. It’s practical work. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly just at the bench. If the door is open, someone is inside working. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place. Just a regular furniture spot on the street, trying to keep up with orders and make sure things are solid.
