Ambika Refrigeration Industries (I)

Zakaria Masjid Street is always crowded and busy, especially near Gosia Manzil where we are located. Ambika Refrigeration Industries (I) is right there at 187/191. If you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know exactly how the atmosphere feels. There are people everywhere, carts moving goods back and forth, and the smell of food from the nearby stalls. Our workspace is in an old building, so we have to be very smart about how we use the limited room we have. We deal with refrigeration parts, which is a big deal in this heat. The shop is usually full of compressors, coils, and copper tubing. It feels like a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We have a few technicians who are always out on service calls, while a couple of us stay back to handle the walk-in customers and the heavy lifting. It is noisy and hectic from the moment we open the shutters in the morning. We don’t have a big fancy showroom to show off. It is more of a workshop where you can see the tools and spare parts lying around on every surface. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to breathe, but we have gotten used to the tight quarters over the years. We take our breaks when we can, often just grabbing a quick bite from a vendor right on the street. It is a lot of work.
