Alison Design Studio

Alison Design Studio is based over in Manish Nagar, specifically at No. A/303. Being in Andheri West means we are in a very busy part of the city, but Manish Nagar itself has its own little rhythm. Our studio is more of a workspace than a showroom. We spend hours here sketching, cutting, and trying to figure out new designs. It’s a bit of a mess most days, with threads and fabric scraps all over the floor, but that’s just how we work. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us hunched over a desk or a sewing machine. Andheri West is full of studios, but we like our little corner in A/303. It’s where all the ideas happen. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and you can see the lights on from the street. It’s not a glamorous life, despite what people think about design studios. It’s mostly just a lot of trial and error and making sure the stitching is straight. We get our coffee from the local shops nearby and just get on with the day. We’ve been in this building for some time now, and we’ve gotten to know the other people working around here. It’s a nice place to be if you want to be creative without all the noise of the main roads that surround us.
