Abdul Rehman Street is always crowded, and that’s where you’ll find us at Plot No 134. It’s a trading life, mostly moving boxes and checking orders all day. The street outside is never quiet. You have carts, scooters, and people shouting constantly. We’ve been in this spot for a good amount of time now. The office is tucked away, filled with samples of what we trade. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. Usually, the mornings are spent drinking tea and waiting for the first delivery. Then it gets chaotic until the sun goes down. We handle a lot of different goods. Sometimes the stock takes up too much space and we have to shuffle things around just to walk. It’s a family-run kind of feel. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just do the trading work that needs doing. Customers come in looking for specific items, and we look through the ledgers to see what’s available. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit by the door for some air. It's just a regular trading business in a very old part of the city. We see the same faces every day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. Most of the time, the fan just pushes the hot air around. We keep at it anyway because the work needs to get done.
