Akshar

Our office is at A 401 on Dairy Hill Road in Navrangpura. Akshar has been in this part of town for a while now. Navrangpura is a busy area, but Dairy Hill Road has its own rhythm. Being on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view, though mostly we are just looking at the tops of other buildings and the trees. The sun hits the windows pretty hard in the afternoon, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the time. We have a few desks and a lot of files piled up. It is just a few of us here making sure the orders get processed. We don't really have any big signs outside, so you have to know which building to enter. The elevator is small and sometimes makes a rattling noise, which can be a bit scary if you aren't used to it. We spend the morning answering calls and the afternoon sorting through the mail and the inventory. It is a quiet kind of work. We know the tea seller downstairs pretty well and he brings us rounds throughout the day. Navrangpura is a good place to be because everything is close by, but we mostly just stay in our corner at A 401 and get the job done. It is a simple operation and we like it that way because it keeps things manageable for us. There is always plenty to do and we just take it one step at a time.
