Akilas Creations

Akilas Creations is down at 40 Damarwala Building. We are on the ground floor, Shop No. 35. If you know Yakub Street, you know it’s a tight squeeze. We are right near the J.J. Signal, so the noise from the horns and the traffic is pretty much constant. It’s a very old building, and our shop has that lived-in feel to it. We’ve got stuff piled up in the corners, but we know where everything is. The area is always crowded with vendors and people rushing to the market. Being on the ground floor means we see a lot of people passing by our door all day. Sometimes neighbors pop in just to say hello or ask for a tool. It’s that kind of neighborhood. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or anything, just a few old ceiling fans that keep the air moving. Our work keeps us busy from morning till night. Usually, we are just sorting through orders or fixing something that broke. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The signal outside is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Most of our day is spent right here in the shop. We don't really go out much except for lunch. It’s a small space, but it’s ours and it’s where all the work happens. We just keep our heads down and get on with things.
