Our office is located in Shop Number 2 of the New Shopping Centre in Bandra East. We are right in the First Block of the Bel Layout, which is very close to the Government Colony. Being a real estate consultant in this part of Mumbai means there is never really a dull moment. The phone starts ringing pretty early, and people are always stopping by to ask about what is available in the area. The office is small and usually has a few maps and papers spread out over the desks. We have a couple of old chairs for people to sit on while we talk. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we have a decent fan that keeps things moving. The shopping centre itself has been around for a long time, so it feels very familiar to everyone who lives nearby. We spend a lot of time walking around the neighborhood to look at different properties or meeting with people who want to sell. It is a lot of back and forth, but that is just the way the business goes. We don't use any fancy systems to keep track of things, mostly just our notebooks and what we remember. It’s a local operation, and we like being right here where the action is. We just try to help people find what they are looking for without making it too complicated. It’s a job that requires a lot of patience, especially with all the paperwork involved.
