Aims Architects

We’ve been here at Sea View Terrace for a while now. It’s an old spot on SBS Road in Colaba, number 119 to be exact. Most days we are just sketching or looking over blueprints at our desks. It's not a big fancy office with glass walls or anything, just enough space for our work and all the rolls of paper that keep piling up in the corners. We handle various building projects around Mumbai, mostly focusing on the practical side of things. Architecture is really about solving puzzles with space and whatever budget the client has. Sometimes people drop by to talk about a renovation or a new plot they just bought. We try to keep things straightforward here. No big presentations or high-pressure talk, just honest conversations about what can actually be built on a site. The traffic on SBS Road is noisy and the humidity can be a bit much in the summer, but you get used to it. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the measurements are right because that's what matters in the end. It's a small team of us. We do our own coffee and spend a lot of time on the phone with contractors. If you're looking for us, we are right near the post office. It’s a busy part of town but we like the energy. Designing buildings takes time and we don't like to rush it just to say we are finished. We take it one room at a time.
