Our small office is on the ground floor of the A-Wing in Kakkad Estate. It is right there on Rajawadi Road in Ghatkopar-E. Being on the ground floor means we see a lot of people walking by every day. It’s Office No. 3, so it is one of the first doors you see when you come into the building. The space is quite tight with all the filing cabinets we have, but we manage to make it work. We have been working out of this spot for some time, and the neighbors in the other wings are all pretty friendly. We spend a lot of our morning drinking some water and looking over the new rental agreements or sale deeds that came in. Ghatkopar can get really crowded in the evenings, so we try to get most of our site visits done before the sun starts to go down. The walls inside are just a plain off-white color and we have a few maps of the local blocks pinned up so we can show people exactly where things are. It’s not a corporate setup at all, just a place where we do our work and keep track of who is moving where. We don’t do much fancy stuff here, just answer the phone and talk to folks who need a hand with their housing. The overhead light flickers sometimes, but we just ignore it until we have time to fix it.
