Abhinaya Institute Of Dance

We are located in Andheri East at Riddhi Residency, specifically in Flat No A 3/16 at Green Fields. This is where the Abhinaya Institute Of Dance happens. It’s a residential building, so it feels more like a home than a school. We use the main area of the flat for the dance practice. It’s got a good floor, which is the most important thing for us. Because we are in a residential complex, we have to be careful about the music volume, especially in the evenings when people are coming home from work. The space gets a bit tight when we have more than five or six people dancing at once, but we've learned how to move around each other. We have some mirrors on the walls so students can see what they are doing. Most of our dancers live right here in Andheri or in the nearby Green Fields area. It’s convenient for them to just walk over. We don't have a big sign outside or anything flashy. Usually, someone just rings the doorbell and comes in. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floor because it gets dusty quickly with all the footwork. It’s a simple, honest setup. We’re just a small group of people who love dance and found a way to do it in a regular flat in Riddhi Residency. It’s nothing fancy, just a practical place to learn and practice together.
