Abhilash Tools & Dies

We are at 42 Jogeshwari West, right on Anthony Street. It is a crowded area but it works for what we do at Abhilash Tools & Dies. Most days, the shop is full of metal shavings and the smell of cutting oil. It’s just part of the everyday routine here. We spend the morning setting up the machines and the afternoon trying to finish whatever orders came in during the week. Tools and dies require a lot of concentration, so we don't talk much while we're actually working on the pieces. The street outside is always noisy with traffic and people going to work. We have been here for a long while now. It’s a practical setup, nothing too fancy to look at. Just some heavy machinery and benches where we handle the steel. Some customers have been coming to this same spot on Anthony Street for years because they know exactly where to find us. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here at number 42. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. Every die we make is a bit different, which keeps the work from getting boring. Sometimes a piece doesn't come out right the first time, so we just start over until it fits. We take a quick lunch break together and then get back to the lathe. That’s just how it is with tool work. We stay until the job is done.
