We work out of Malad West, specifically at Plot No 59, Room No 89 on Kamla Nehru Cross Road Number 2. It’s near Gate N. Our 'office' is really just a place to keep the ladders, the brushes, and the half-empty paint cans. We’re usually out at job sites anyway, getting paint on our clothes and dust in our hair. We’ve been doing this for a long time. Painting isn’t always glamorous. It’s a lot of sanding and cleaning before the first drop of color even goes on. We don't have a fancy showroom with samples. Instead, we just bring the swatches to the houses where we’re working. The shop in Malad is where we meet up in the mornings to load the van. It’s a busy neighborhood, and we’re just one of many small businesses trying to get the job done right. We aren't corporate people. We’re the ones with the rollers and the tarps. Sometimes our hands are stained with whatever color we were using that day. We just like seeing a room look better when we’re finished. No big mission statements here, just a lot of physical work and trying to make sure the edges are straight. We’ve painted a lot of walls in this part of town over the years. It’s a simple, hard-working life and we’re okay with that. Just local painters doing local work. We take the gear out, do the job, and come back to clean the brushes.
