A L Anwar Traders is located at A 7/158/160 on Narayan Dhuru Street in Odhav. We are right on the ground floor, which makes things much easier when we are moving goods around. Narayan Dhuru Street is a very old and busy part of the trading district. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step because of the narrow lanes and the carts moving through. The air is always full of the smell of the market and the sounds of people bargaining. Our shop is quite deep, stretching back from the street front, and we use every inch of space to store our materials. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes and bundles piled up. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the chaos outside anymore. We just get on with the business of buying and selling. It’s a practical environment, no air conditioning or fancy lights, just the basics to keep the business going. We know the other traders around us, and there’s a certain respect that comes with working in Odhav. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad and keep going until the street starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s a traditional way of working, passed down and kept alive by just being there every single day and doing the work.
