We are Zed Impex, tucked away on Peerzada Street. You’ll find us right near the Lal Imli Wali Masjid. It is a narrow street and parking is always a headache, so most people just walk or take a rickshaw. We have been in this building for a long time. The walls are thick and it stays quiet inside despite the noise outside. We handle imports and exports, mostly just moving boxes and checking paperwork. It isn't glamorous work but it keeps the lights on and the families fed. The office is small and filled with old metal desks and stacks of ledgers that go back years. We don't use much technology beyond what is absolutely necessary. Most of the neighbors know us by name. We see the same people going to the masjid every day. It feels like a real community here. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it is not too hot in the late afternoon. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just write down what needs doing and we do it. If a shipment is late, we wait. If it is early, we scramble to find space for it. That’s just the life of a small business on Peerzada Street. We don't promise anything we can't actually do. We just stay steady and keep moving forward. It’s a simple life and we like it that way. The tea boy comes by twice a day, and we always look forward to that break.
