Selected Art India Co. is based near T. P. Nagar in a place called Johar Garden. It’s a bit of a different vibe out here compared to the city center. We deal with art pieces and decorative things, so the workshop is always an interesting mix of smells—paint, wood, and sometimes just old dust. We aren't a high-end gallery with white walls and silence. It’s more of a working space where things actually get made and packed. There’s usually sawdust on the floor and half-finished projects sitting on the benches. We’ve been in this spot for a good while, and most of the locals know where to find us. The team here is a bunch of regular people who happen to be good with their hands. We don’t have a marketing department to tell you how fancy we are. We just make things that look decent and hope people like them enough to buy them. Moving the bigger pieces can be a real struggle, especially when the weather is hot and humid. We often sit outside during our lunch break to get some air away from the fumes and the noise. The neighborhood is quiet enough, which helps when you need to focus on a tricky bit of work. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours and it works for what we do. We just keep our heads down and work.
