Opaxa Crafts is situated out by the 9 Km Stone near Pakbara, right on NH 24 in the village of Budhanpur. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, located in the J.P Nagar area of Amroha. Because we’re right by the highway, there’s always the sound of trucks and cars rushing past our gates. The building itself is pretty basic, just a sturdy place to store our materials and do our work. We work mostly with local materials, and the workshop is often filled with the smell of wood or whatever we’re using that day. The village is close by, so many of us walk or bike to work. It’s a practical setup without any unnecessary frills. We have a big open area where we load and unload things, and it can get quite dusty when the wind picks up off the road. Inside, things are organized in a way that only we really understand. We don't have a fancy showroom; if you want to see what we do, you just walk into the main work area. The light comes in through the big doors, and we usually work until the sun starts to go down. Sometimes the power is a bit unreliable, so we have to adjust our schedule around that. It's just a group of people working hard in a quiet corner of the district. We keep some water and snacks in the back for when the days get long.
