Shan India

We are located in Mohalla Mangal Pura, which is part of Sarai Tarin. Shan India is basically just a small shop and work area. The streets around here are narrow, so getting large things in and out is always a bit of a challenge. We mostly deal with local materials. There’s a lot of banging and noise during the day because of the tools we use. It’s a lively neighborhood. You can hear the neighbors' kids playing outside while we try to finish our work. We don't have a big corporate team. It's just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We make things that people use, nothing too fancy or complicated. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it. We're too busy with the daily orders. Sometimes we work late into the evening by the light of a couple of bulbs when we have a deadline. Sarai Tarin is known for this kind of work, so we fit right in with the other shops. We don't have a catalog or anything like that. People usually just come by or call us to see what we have ready to go. It's a simple business. We try to do a decent job on everything we touch. It’s how we were raised to work and we don't know any other way. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done.
