Noor Crafts. Our workshop is at Holly Chowk in Mangalpura, Sarai Tarin. It’s a place where we make things by hand. You can hear the sounds of tools hitting wood or metal all day long. The area is quite old and the streets are narrow. We have stuff piled up in the corners—materials we use for our crafts. It’s not a clean, empty studio. It’s a real workshop with scraps on the floor and dust in the air. We spend hours sitting and working on small details. Sometimes our hands get tired, but that’s the job. People in Sarai Tarin have been doing this kind of work for generations. We learned it from the older folks. We don't have a fancy catalog. Most people just come by and see what we are making. The light in the workshop isn't always the best, so we use some old lamps to see the fine lines. It’s a bit messy, but it’s where the work happens. We drink a lot of tea while we work. Neighbors often pop their heads in to say hello. It’s a friendly place, even if it is a bit chaotic with all the supplies everywhere. We just focus on making things that look right to us. We don’t think about big marketing plans. We just want to finish the pieces we started.
