You can find Jk Handicrafts over on Reti Street, right near Sangam Marriage Hall. It’s a location that’s easy to remember because of all the weddings that happen next door. In fact, we are so close to Sangam Marriage Hall that the street is always buzzing. Sometimes it gets so loud with the music that we can hardly hear ourselves talk, but we’re used to it by now. Our shop is full of things made by hand. There’s dust from the wood and bits of thread on the floor, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a big fancy showroom. It’s more like a workshop where things are stored on high shelves and in crates. We spend our time checking the pieces that come in and making sure they look right. It’s a slow kind of business. You can’t rush this kind of work. We’ve been on this street for quite a while, and we know the other shopkeepers well. We often sit outside for a tea break when things are quiet. The shop feels lived-in and comfortable. We aren't interested in being the biggest place in town. We just want to keep doing what we’re doing and providing the kind of items people around here like to have in their homes. It’s a simple life on Reti Street, and we’re happy to be part of the neighborhood.
