Out here in Patel Nagar, things are usually a bit dusty because of the roads near the Railway Harthla Colony. Q N Q Handicrafts started in a small way because we just liked making things by hand. Our workshop isn't very large, and you can usually hear the sound of tools hitting metal or wood throughout the afternoon. It gets quite warm in the summers, so we keep the fans running at full speed. We have a few local guys who come in every morning to work on the new batches. They sit on the floor or small stools, focusing on the details of whatever piece is in front of them. It is not some high-tech factory; it is just a place where we put things together piece by piece. There are always boxes stacked up in the corner waiting to be packed. We try to keep things organized, but when we are busy, it gets a bit messy with scraps and tools everywhere. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. People just know where we are. We have been in this spot for a long time, and the neighbors know us well. It’s a simple life here, just making handicrafts and making sure they look okay before they go out. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the news while we work.
