New Craft Export India is situated right in Faiz Gunj, just opposite the Gherwali Masjid. You can hear the sounds from the masjid throughout the day while we work. It’s a busy spot. We handle a lot of craft items here for export. Mostly, it’s about packing boxes and making sure everything is ready to go out. The space we have is filled with different types of handmade goods. It’s not a showroom or anything fancy. It’s more of a workspace where things get done. We’ve been operating out of this Faiz Gunj location for quite some time now. Some days are very long when we have big shipments to organize. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the crafts. The neighborhood is crowded and the streets are narrow, but it’s where we feel at home. Most of the people working here live nearby too. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers well. When the prayer starts at Gherwali Masjid, things slow down for a minute, which is nice. We aren't a huge corporation. It’s just a small team of us doing what we know how to do. We take the crafts from the local makers and get them ready for their next stop. It’s a lot of manual work and checking details. That’s just how we do it every day without much fuss.
