N. F. Handicrafters

We are located in the Moon Building in the Hazira area of Kisrol. N. F. Handicrafters is basically a place where hands are always moving. Whether we are sorting through materials or finishing up a specific piece, there isn't much idle time. The building itself has been around for a while, and we’ve made our space comfortable in a practical sort of way. You won’t find any polished marble floors here, just sturdy tables and plenty of light so we can see what we are doing. The Kisrol neighborhood is pretty lively, so there is always some noise coming in from the street, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started small and we’ve stayed at a size where we can actually keep an eye on everything ourselves. Sometimes the materials we get aren't exactly what we expected, so we have to adjust on the fly. That’s just part of the job. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it feels a bit like a neighborhood gathering most days. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep things moving. It’s not always easy work, especially when the orders pile up, but we just take it one day at a time. We like the feeling of finishing a batch and seeing it all packed up. It feels like a good day’s work done right here in Hazira, even when we are a bit tired by the end.
