Mughni Collection

Mughni Collection is tucked away in Baradari Dang. If you aren't from around here, the streets can be a little confusing to navigate because they all look the same. It’s an old part of the area. We’ve been here long enough that everyone knows us by now. We deal with a lot of collections of items, mostly things people want for their houses. The space is filled with boxes and half-wrapped items. We don't have a lot of room for walking around, but we manage just fine. My uncle used to run the place before I took over. It stays pretty cool inside even when it’s hot outside because of the thick walls of the old building. We spend our days checking the quality of what comes in. If something isn't right, we have to send it back, which is a real pain. Most of our time is spent on the phone or writing out invoices by hand in our books. We don't use much fancy technology, just a basic computer for the emails. The neighborhood is loud with kids playing and people selling things on the street. It’s a lively place to work. We close up around seven every evening and walk home. It’s not a corporate office with suits and ties. We wear what's comfortable and get our hands dirty when we have to unload the vans. It’s a simple setup but it works for us and the people we sell to. We have a small bench outside where we sit in the evenings.
