Nandan Kanan Restaurant is located on the Rampur Road, specifically on that stretch between Dalpatpur and Monda Pandey. It is a very specific spot in Moradabad that travelers know well. If you are driving between cities, you see a lot of fields and then you see us. We are right on the highway, so we get a lot of dust from the trucks passing by. We spend a lot of time cleaning the tables and the front area because of that. The kitchen is usually the busiest part of the whole place. You can hear the pans clanking and smell the spices from out in the parking area. It is not a fancy dining hall with white tablecloths. We have sturdy furniture and a floor that can handle people coming in with muddy shoes from the road. Most of our customers are drivers or families going on long trips who need a break from the car. We have been here for a long time and we know the rhythm of the Rampur Road. When the weather gets hot, the restaurant feels a bit different than when it is raining hard outside. We just focus on getting the food out and making sure people have a place to sit for a while. There is no corporate management here, just the people who show up to work every day. We check the stock every morning and start the fires before the sun is even fully up.
