Our workshop is located in the Oil Mill Compound, right across from the Public Dharam Kanta on Delhi Road. It’s a busy spot in Majhola, with a lot of heavy vehicles passing by all the time. The compound itself is a bit old, and there’s always a smell of dust and diesel in the air. We’ve got a fairly large space where we keep our materials and do the actual work. It’s not a clean, modern studio like you might see in a magazine. There are scraps of wood and fabric everywhere, and the workbenches are scarred from years of use. We don’t have a front desk or a formal waiting area. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in the back with our sleeves rolled up. We do things by hand for the most part, so it’s a slow process compared to a factory. We’ve got a few light bulbs hanging from the ceiling that give off a warm glow in the evenings. The noise from the Delhi Road never really stops, but after a while, you just stop hearing it. We’re a small group of people who have been doing this for a long time. We don't use fancy software to track everything; we still use paper notebooks for most of our records. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We just try to get the orders out on time. It gets crowded when new materials arrive.
