If you are looking for us, we are over in Kisrol, right near Captain Firm. We’re also quite close to the Jhalawar Railway Station, so you can often hear the trains coming and going while we work. At M Z Handicrafts, things are usually a bit messy because of all the materials we use. There are wood shavings on the floor and the smell of polish in the air most mornings. We spend our hours cutting, shaping, and finishing things by hand. It’s a lot of physical labor, and our hands usually have some stains or small cuts from the tools. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone in a fancy suit. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the materials. Sometimes the heat in the workshop gets quite intense, especially in the middle of the day. We usually take a break when the station whistle blows for the afternoon express. The area around Kisrol is busy, and we’ve got to keep the doors open to get a bit of a breeze. People sometimes wander in thinking we’re a different shop because we don't have a giant neon sign. We just tell them what we do and point them the right way if they’re lost. It’s a simple life here, making things that people use in their homes. We take our time with the work and don't rush through the process because that is how mistakes happen.
