Kisan Kasth Kala Udyog

Out here on New Basti Dhampur Road in Kanth, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Kisan Kasth Kala Udyog is basically a workshop where we deal with wood and craft items. It’s a dusty place, honestly. You can't work with wood and expect to stay clean. We have saws, sanders, and a lot of scrap pieces lying around. The smell of sawdust is always in the air. We aren't a big factory with assembly lines. Most of the work is done by hand or with simple machines. We make things that people actually use in their homes or for their work. It’s physical labor and our hands usually have a few cuts or splinters by the end of the week. The district is quiet, and most of our neighbors are also doing some kind of trade or farming. We open early in the morning when it’s still cool outside. By the afternoon, it gets pretty hot in the shed, but we keep going. We don't have a website or a big sign, so people usually just know us from being in the area for so long. It’s just a local shop doing traditional work. We don't try to be anything we’re not. It’s just us, the wood, and the tools we use every day. Sometimes we run out of supplies and have to wait for the next delivery, but that's life here.
