Kanhaya & Sons

Kanhaya & Sons is a family-run place located in Vijay Nagar, right along Rampur Road. It’s one of those spots where everyone knows the neighbors and the people walking by. Our shop is on a busy stretch of the road, so there is always the sound of traffic and horns in the background. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it works for us. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves filled with whatever we are trading at the time. It is a bit cramped, especially when we get a fresh load of stock in. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or anything like that. It is a practical space for practical work. My father started things out, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the back. During the summer, it gets quite hot, so we keep the fans running all day long. Rampur Road is a main artery, so we see a lot of different people coming through. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we are just a local business trying to make a living. If you come by, you’ll likely see one of us sitting near the front, probably checking a ledger or talking to a regular. It’s a simple life, and we like it that way.
