Kadari Craft

We are Kadari Craft. You can find us in Mohalla Hosh Katora, right near the Bangle Wali Masgid in Sarai Tarim. The area is usually quite busy, especially on Fridays when many people are out. We spend most of our days working with our hands here in the shop. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular workspace where we get things done. The mosque is so close we can hear everything clearly throughout the day. Sometimes the dust from the street gets inside when the wind picks up, but that is just how it is in Sarai Tarim. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us and the tools we use for our craft. Most of the people around here know us because we’ve been in this spot for a while now. The mornings start early when the shops around the Mohalla begin to open their shutters. We usually have some tea first and then get to work on whatever needs finishing. It’s a simple life, really. We don’t do much else besides focus on the tasks in front of us. If you walk past the Bangle Wali Masgid, you’ll likely see us or hear the sounds of work coming from inside. It’s a practical setup, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep our heads down and try to finish the work for the day before it gets too dark to see properly.
