Jasmine Handicrafts

We are located on Tobacco Street, which is a place that has a lot of character, even if it is a bit worn down around the edges. Jasmine Handicrafts is based in an old building where the stairs creak every time you take a step. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just rooms filled with the smell of wood and fabric and whatever else we are working with that week. The street outside is narrow, so you can hear the conversations of people walking by as if they were in the room with you. We keep the windows open mostly for the breeze, even if the dust comes in with it. Our team is small, just a few people who have been doing this for a long time. We use old methods because that is what we know. There is a lot of sitting on the floor and working with small tools. It can be hard on the back, but we take breaks and drink a lot of coffee. Tobacco Street doesn't have much tobacco on it these days, but the name stuck. We like being part of the old town. It feels right for the kind of handicrafts we make. We don't have a website that works very well, and we mostly just deal with people face to face or over the phone. It is a slow way of doing things, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and keep the hands busy.
