J. K. Export India

Being right across from the Galshaheed Police Station means there is always something happening outside our door. J. K. Export India has been operating from this spot for quite some time, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the street. It’s a busy area, and we spend most of our hours surrounded by boxes and packing tape. Our space isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so nothing falls over. It’s mostly about getting the shipments ready and making sure the paperwork is sorted out on the old wooden desk in the corner. We don't really do much to make the place look pretty for visitors because we are usually too busy moving crates around. The fan overhead makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing after all these years. Sometimes the tea man comes by twice a day, and that’s when we take a small break to sit on the plastic chairs. It’s just how things are done here. We aren't trying to be anything fancy or corporate. We just focus on the exports and making sure everything is packed tight so nothing gets damaged on the long trip. The police station is a good landmark, so people don’t usually get lost trying to find our entrance. It’s a practical place for a practical business, and we like the routine of it all even when it gets a bit chaotic with the afternoon traffic and the sirens.
