Indian Art Enterprises

If you go down Jain Lane in Shivpuri, you’ll find Indian Art Enterprises. It’s not a huge place, just a workspace where we keep our tools and materials. We do a lot of work that requires a bit of patience and a steady hand. The light in Shivpuri is usually pretty good in the mornings, which is when we try to do the most difficult parts of our jobs. The shop is often a bit messy with scraps of metal or wood, depending on what project we’re currently in the middle of. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our space is taken up by the workbenches and the storage shelves. We’ve been at this Jain Lane location for a while, and the people around here are used to the noise we make sometimes. It’s a quiet enough street, but there's always someone walking by or a bike going past the door. We don’t spend much on advertising or anything like that. People usually hear about us from their neighbors or friends who have been here before. We just focus on making things the way we were taught. It’s a simple way to spend the day, and we like being part of the local scene here. Sometimes the cat from next door comes in to sleep on a pile of rags, and we just let him stay. It's just a regular workshop where we do what we do.
