You can find Gani International Exports over on Kisrol Street, specifically at 37/D-7. We are very close to Masjid Molsiri, so the sound of the calls to prayer is a regular part of our day. It’s a traditional area, and our building fits right in. It’s an old structure with thick walls, which keeps it a bit cooler when the sun is out. We do a lot of export work from here, so there’s a constant flow of goods coming in and out of the narrow street. It can be a real headache when a delivery truck gets stuck, but we manage somehow. The interior is mostly storage and a small area for us to sit and do the paperwork. We’ve been at this for a long time, and the business has passed through a couple of hands in the family. We don't use much technology besides the basics. Most of our records are still kept in big bound books. It’s just the way we’ve always done it. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the neighborhood. We aren't looking to move to a big industrial park or anything. This street is where we belong. It’s dusty and sometimes the drainage acts up, but it’s our corner of the world. We just keep working, making sure our shipments are ready on time and everything is accounted for before the day ends. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble.
