Excellent Handicrafts

If you walk through Feel Khana near the Hyderabad Medical area, you will find our place, Excellent Handicrafts. It is a bit of a crowded spot with a lot of shops nearby, and we are right in the middle of it. Inside, there is usually the smell of wood, glue, or whatever materials we are working with that week. We make things by hand, so there are always tools lying on the benches and bits of fabric or wood shavings on the floor. It is not a polished showroom. It is a place where people actually sit and make things. We have a few workers who have been doing this for a long time. They have steady hands and a lot of patience. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going. People stop by to see what we are making or to ask for something specific to be built. We do not have a big catalog or an expensive advertising budget. We just rely on the way the things are made with our own hands. The area is always noisy with traffic and people shouting, but inside we just try to get our work done. It is a traditional way of doing things and we like it that way. We just keep making our crafts day after day at the shop. It is hard work but seeing the finished items makes it all worth it to us at the end of the day.
