Favourite Handicrafts

We are tucked away in the Katar Sheed area, specifically at F-13/218. It’s right near the Masjid Khajoor Wali, which is the easiest way to find us if you’re coming for the first time. Favourite Handicrafts is what we call ourselves, and we spend our days working on different pieces. The alleyways around here are narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes. Inside, the space is filled with the smell of wood and whatever materials we are using that week. There isn't much room for a big showroom, so things are mostly packed up as soon as they are finished. We have a few local artisans who come in and out. They’ve got a lot of experience, and you can see it in how they handle their tools. It’s a bit of a messy place, to be honest. There are wood shavings on the floor and scraps of cloth in the corners. We don’t mind it. It shows that work is being done. Sometimes the mosque nearby calls for prayer and everything goes quiet for a few minutes, which is a nice break. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us making sure everything is handled right. If a customer calls, they usually talk to whoever is closest to the phone. We just do our thing here in the neighborhood. The doors are old and squeaky but they stay open for the breeze.
