We are located at Gajraj Bhawan in the Katghar area. It is an older building, but it works fine for what we do here at Expressions Of India. Pachpera is a lively neighborhood to be in, and there is always something happening outside the windows. Most of the time, our rooms are full of different items we have collected or made ourselves. It is a bit of a maze inside because we keep adding more shelves. We do not have a fancy showroom with glass cases or bright lights. Things are usually just stacked on wooden tables or tucked into corners. The staff here has been around for a long time. We know each other well and we don't bother with a lot of formalities. We just look at what needs to be packed for the day and get to it. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit by the windows and keep working with the natural light. It is just part of being in this part of town. We handle many traditional items, and some of them are quite fragile, so we have to be careful with our hands. It is not always perfectly organized, and sometimes we lose a pen or a notebook in the middle of a busy afternoon. But we enjoy the work and it feels good to see the crates being loaded up for delivery.
