S. N. G. Handicrafts

Down in Gali No. A7, tucked away in Karula Islam Nagar on Dhimre Road, you’ll find where we do all our work at S. N. G. Handicrafts. It’s a busy area, always something moving in the lanes, and our workshop is right in the middle of it. We’ve been making things here for quite a bit of time now. It’s mostly hand work, nothing too automated or high-tech. The space isn't huge, but we make it work by keeping everything organized in its own corner. You can hear the sounds of tools hitting metal or wood all day long. Most of the people working here live close by, so it feels like a neighborhood spot. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights. Most of what we make gets packed up and sent out to whoever ordered it. Sometimes people wander in from the street because they saw the sign or heard about us from a neighbor. We usually have a few pieces sitting around to show what we’ve been busy with lately. It’s dusty work and can get pretty hot in the summer, especially with the narrow streets not letting much breeze through. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. It’s honest work that pays the bills. We take things as they come, order by order. If you’re ever walking down Dhimre Road, you might spot us near the end of the alley. We’re just regular folks making things by hand.
