Unique Handicraft

Unique Handicraft is over at No. 4B in Buddhi Vihar, which is right near Delhi Road. Being so close to the main road means we hear the trucks and buses going by all day long, but it’s a good location for us. Our workshop is a bit small and it’s usually quite cluttered with all the different things we are working on. There are tools laying around and bits of material on the floor, but we know where everything is. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It’s just a small group of people who enjoy working with our hands. We don't have a fancy showroom or a big glass storefront. If you walk in, you’re basically walking right into where the work happens. It gets a bit dusty in here, especially when we are sanding things down, so we try to keep the door open for some fresh air. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people to handle sales. We just focus on the items we make and hope people like them. Most of our neighbors are also doing similar kinds of work, so there’s a nice sense of community in Buddhi Vihar. We usually stop for tea around mid-morning and just chat about the day. It’s a simple, quiet life for the most part. We don't try to be something we’re not. We’re just a local business doing our thing near the Delhi Road.
