Creative Brass Handicrafts

We are over in Lajpat Nagar at B-575. It is a busy part of the city and our workshop is right in the middle of it all. Most days it is pretty loud because of the metal work going on. People think brass work is quiet but it really isn't. We have been doing this for quite some time now. My grandfather started with just a few tools and now we have more space but it still feels small sometimes. The shelves are packed with stuff we have made. Some things are shiny and others are left a bit dull. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you'll probably see someone polishing a plate or hammering a bowl. The dust gets everywhere and we spend half the time cleaning up. We just try to get the orders done on time. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait around. That is just how it is here. We focus on the work and making sure the pieces look right before they go out. It is a lot of handwork and your fingers get tired by the end of the day. We don't use big machines for everything. A lot of it is just us sitting on the floor or at small tables. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy and the neighborhood is lively enough to keep things interesting.
