Brass Land Exports

We have been operating out of Asalat Pura for quite a while now. If you know Islam Nagar, you know how busy it gets, especially right opposite Lane No 7. Our workshop is always filled with the sound of metal. It is not a quiet place to work, but it is what we do every day. There are piles of brass sheets in the corner and the smell of polish is pretty strong most mornings. My brother and I usually start around eight. We spend a lot of time just moving crates around to make space. The walls are a bit stained from years of work and the fan makes a clicking noise that we stopped noticing years ago. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time backing into the lane because it is so narrow, so we end up carrying a lot of the boxes by hand to the main road. It keeps us busy. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk with a lot of old papers and a telephone that rings more than it should. Usually, we are just in the back checking the pieces or talking to the guys about the latest batch. Lunch is usually brought from home and we eat it quickly before getting back to the packing. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it is the life we have here in this part of town and we have grown used to the noise and the dust over the years.
