Ns Handicrafts is tucked away in Lane No. 4 over in Asalat Pura. If you have ever walked down that lane, you know it is a tight squeeze with all the activity going on. We have been in this same spot for years, and the walls are covered with sketches and bits of material we use for our work. It is a bit noisy because of the workshops nearby, but we are used to it by now. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby. Usually, you just walk in and find someone working on a piece at one of the benches. My uncle started this place a long time ago and taught us how to handle the tools. We do not really use big machines, mostly just our hands and some simple gear. The lighting in the back room isn't the best, so we do the detailed stuff near the front window where the sun comes in. Sometimes it gets crowded when we have a lot of stuff ready to go out, but we move things around to make space. It is not a polished showroom like the ones you see in the bigger cities. It is just a workshop where we spend most of our waking hours. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news while we work. If you are looking for Lane No. 4, just ask anyone in the Asalat Pura area.
